| Instructions to all Coaches for Obtaining a Criminal Record Check
Once again, the Nelson Youth Soccer Association is asking coaches to obtain a criminal record check prior to the 2010 season. If you have not done so in the last 12 months, please take the time to obtain a record check and forward it on to the NYSA.
There are two sets of instructions below depending upon where you live:
For residents within the City of Nelson –
Appear in person at the Nelson City Police Department at 606 Stanley Street with picture I.D. and proof of address. On the record check form, ensure that you check off the box indicating that you are a “volunteer”.
Return to the Police Department one or two days later to obtain your completed record check.
Once you have your completed form, you can bring it with you to the season startup coaches meeting or mail it to:
P.O. Box 162
Nelson, B.C.
V1L 5P9
For residents outside of the City of Nelson –
Appear in person at the nearest RCMP statioin with picture I.D. and proof of address. On the record check form, ensure that you check off the box indicating that you are a “volunteer”.
Since we do not have a fax number, Ask the RCMP to mail in the form to the following address or ask to be able to return and pick up the form and bring it with you to the season startup coaches meeting.
Nelson Youth Soccer P.O. Box 162
Nelson, B.C.
V1L 5P9
Thank you for your interest in coaching, and taking the time to obtain a criminal record check.
