Information

 A “Small-sided Game Referee” (U10-soccer referee) must be a minimum of 12 years of age and who has successfully completed our Level 5 referee clinic.  NYSA accept the first 10 new referees to contact nys@nys.ca that express their interest in taking this clinic.

To referee U12 and higher, one has to be at least 14 years old, successfully complete the BCSA Entry Level Referees Clinic and register and pay with BCSA.  See our Web for Clinic dates.  BCSA Entry Level Referees Clinic costs $100.00 (includes $50.00 BCSA registration fee).  All BCSA registered referees must take an annual refresher course which is free but must pay to BCSA the $50.00 registration fee.  NYSA will reimburse the Entry Level Referees Clinic cost of $100.00 and registered referees cost of $50.00 once 10 games have been officiated.  If you are interested please see our Web for Referee clinic registration information.
